Dancers, coaches and parents,
Ever have a friend come back from summer intensives and wonder “Wow, what has she been doing? Her leg height and turns are amazing!”
We all have good days and off days. We have favorite teachers, and ones that we struggle with more. We have favorite dance styles, and more difficult ones.
How can we have amazing experiences even in moments that challenge us? Next time you find a difficult class, or an “off” day, instead of mentally checking out, try this mindset shift. Ask yourself “what can I learn right now if I really listen and commit to being present?”
What do you discover when you really commit to this mindset shift in the moment? Share with us, as we all learn from each other in this community.
