For the Love of Dance

It is an eclectic celebration of dance to benefit the senior class at Farmington High School. With 14 performances from local studios, the Carlton College Ballroom Dance Team and the U of M Premier Dance Teams. Here is a summary provided by their organizer.

FOR THE LOVE OF DANCE is coming once again to Farmington High School.  The showcase is set for Sunday, Jan 27th at 2 p.m..  Sharing dance is what this show is all about, with a remarkable lineup of talent scheduled this year.   Groups from all over the metro area are joining in this dance celebration, Ballroom will be performed by Carleton College Ballroom Dance Team, Dance With Us America, and Fred Astaire Dance Studios. Premier Dance Team from the University of Minnesota is bringing hip hop and jazz, and Ballet Co. Laboratory is showcasing ballet.

Who should come? Anyone who likes dance…there will be a dance for everyone.

The Community School of Excellence is bringing Asian and Chinese Folk dance while Rince na Chroi is bringing Irish Dance. Contemporary, lyrical, jazz, kick, pom and hip hop are styles are all covered by JAMM Dance Co., Studio 4 Dance, South Metro Dance Academy, Synergy Dance Center, Dance Connection, the Lakeville Starliners, and Just For Kix

10% of the profits will be given to benefit Dancers Against Cancer. 

FOR THE LOVE OF DANCE is a fundraiser that helps the FHS Senior Party committee provide a safe, fun and substance free event for the graduates of 2019.
