Minnesota’s dance community has been glued to the biggest dance competition on television, World of Dance.
On March 31 two Minnesota acts appeared on the show, on opposite ends of the qualifying score sheet. Ellie & Ava sat at 2nd place with a 92.3 qualifying score, The Trilogy’s score was 86.3, which meant they would be not be able to select their opponent.
Ellie & Ava’s performance was superb, even getting Jennifer Lopez to comment that the dance was “technically perfect”. The two sisters not only perform a difficult routine, they do so as one, in sync the entire way. They defeated their opponent, Audrey & Mia, by a score of 91.7 to 90.0 and will advance to the next round of the competition.

The Trilogy performed a great dance but it was not enough to move to the next round. They were up against Julian & Charlize, who brought the judges out of their seats. The Trilogy fell to Julian & Charlize 90.0 to 95.3.

One of my favorite skills performed from The Trilogy. They have some gravity defying skills.
You can see all five Minnesota dancers next weekend at the Hall of Fame competition at the RiverCentre in St. Paul.
