The Wayzata Invitational was a competition between AAA dance teams and was one of the last competitive invitationals before sections.

The energy was through the roof and periodically the gym erupted into the Skol chant.  The home crowd was as loud as I have heard this year (admittedly I can only be in one place at a time) as the home team came away with a first place (kick) and second place (jazz) finish.

Eastview took first in the Jazz competition with a strong performance.

One observation from this year is that the level of difficulty seems to have taken a significant jump in the last year and we can’t wait to see what transpires as the first round of sections are less than two weeks away.
