A message from the organizers:

Hi! Our names are Renee Hollis and Regan Anderson and we are seniors at Chanhassen High School in Chanhassen, MN. Both being involved in dance since the age of three, it has grown from an extracurricular activity, to a passion. As captains of the Chanhassen Storm Dance Team, we’ve learned skills beyond the competition floor.

Dance has taught us leadership, teamwork, and perseverance, all skills we need to create our Public Relations Chapter Project for DECA. We were tasked with creating a project that uses multiple platforms to raise awareness for a certain organization or cause of our choosing.

Because of the impact dance has made in our lives, we were drawn to Dancers Against Cancer, a non profit organization that financially assists dancers, dance educators, and dance families affected by cancer.

Our main event for this project is our Dancers Against Cancer Dance Marathon. We would love to see you all there on Saturday, November 10th from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at Chanhassen High School for food, games, music, and lots of dancing.

This event is open to people of all ages and dance abilities. Registration is free, but donations are encouraged!

Talk to friends, family, and neighbors and ask them to support your participation in the Dance Marathon by donating. Prizes will be given to the individual and team who bring in the most money. Let’s all come together to support a great cause!
